5/18/2024 - bram_epicurien Likes this wine: 90 pointsSaturday evening in Diessenhofen. Medium purple color. Dried berries, vanilla, white pepper, greenness and touch of espresso and chocolate. Med acidity, full body, high alcohol, med flavor intensity, med tannins and med finish. Beautiful red cherries, strawberries, very ample mouth, vanilla, chocolate and nice lingering salinity. Really nicely balanced and drinking perfectly now. |

Turbid with aromas of caramel, super sherry oxidation (which is not a problem for me) over raspberry, plenty of sweet spice especially cinnamon. Juicy, fleshy, fresh acid, biscuit, fruit less present here though those oxidative notes are. Softly textured burr gently tugs the at the roof of the mouth like a child tugging a parents sleeve. Lovely, for me. |

4/3/2024 - Davetroup Likes this wine: 89 pointsHas an odd nose and I was a tiny bit worried before the first sip, but this is a really delightful wine, especially for the price. It’s not too complex but I could drink this stuff all night. Goes very nicely with barbecue. |

2/3/2024 - Marc wrote: 88 pointsVery pure and refined fruit profile, and still primary, but it is quite tart at the moment! Very modern style, with a somewhat reticent nose of black pepper and a lick of new oak. It’s well made, and impeccably clean. I think this will always be a bright wine, but it’s ageing well, and may surprise, although at the moment it is correct and modern. Similar notes to four years ago. Classy but nondescript. |

12/14/2023 - WojteG Likes this wine: 95 points2 days ago I had a very similar ChdP from Pierre H.Morrell. It's bold, it's powerful, muscular, full bodied with vivid acidity and perfect balance, because it's the same time on the sweet side of dry wines. Kirsch liquor both in the smell and taste. Of course they're differences. First of all - the most significant one is the vintage. What else? Incredibly nice grainy texture (I understand it's not everyone's favorite), a lot of coffee, green olives, cocoa, black chocolate. What's the same? Plum, black cherry |

12/20/2023 - eboracum Likes this wine: 88 pointsLike a lot of well made modern wine this is very like other recent vintages (I think I missed the 2021). It is sturdy and darkly generous showing medium+ body, brambly fruit, some spice and decent acidity. Good wine and good value at c.€7. |

Very smooth, rich red and black fruits with blackberry black cherry strawberry red cherr, black plum and black and white pepper, oak, chocolate and leather creeping in. Tannins were medium, alcohol high, acidity medium, flavour intensity medium-high with a medium length finish with a lot of complexity. |

12/21/2023 - jonnysandwich Likes this wine: 88 pointsPretty damn marvelous for the price (in my case, $12). Mostly Grenache but beautifully perfumed--tons of herbs and flowers, with a sweet chamomile-like finish. The typical plum and cherry notes behave themselves. Peppery spices break through after a bit. Great with bloomy rind cheeses! |

11/10/2023 - snipes Likes this wine: NRAn enjoyable bottle of wine paired with balsamic marinated skirt steak. I opened it a few hours before dinner and poured off a taster just to get a little air in the bottle. The first glass was still a little tight, but as dinner progressed the wine came together wonderfully, with plenty of fruit and a nice acidic backbone which paired with the steak beautifully. I'd happily purchase more at the price I paid. |
